Earlier, various reports circulated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was divorcing his wife Olena Zelenska. However, on July 7, at an official evening reception held within the framework of the NATO summit in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, the president appeared publicly together with his spouse.
Volodymyr and Olena Zelenskyy participated in the event hosted by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, alongside other heads of state and government and their spouses. During the ceremony, the couple also posed for an official photograph.
International media assessed Olena Zelenska's choice of a black classic trouser suit for the event as an example of a simple, modern, and minimalist style.
Let us recall that in May of this year, Russia's RIA Novosti agency, citing sources in law enforcement agencies, spread a report that Volodymyr Zelenskyy was preparing for a divorce from his wife.
According to the publication's claim, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine released audio recordings concerning the construction of the 'Dynasty' residential complex and money laundering. The recordings contained allegations that a fourth cottage in the complex was allocated to Olena Zelenska as compensation ahead of the divorce. It was also said that the name 'Vova' mentioned in the audio recordings referred to Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
However, these claims have not been confirmed by Ukrainian officials.
The joint participation of Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Olena Zelenska within the framework of the NATO summit brought the divorce rumors back to the center of discussions on social media and in the international information space.
