"In my opinion, everything is over. I do not want to negotiate with them. They are stupid and sick people. They are led by equally sick people. I think spending time with them is futile," said Trump during a meeting with journalists in Ankara.
This statement came after Iran delivered strikes on US military bases in the Persian Gulf.
Trump's comment came at a time when tensions between Washington and Tehran have further escalated. So far, Iranian officials have not commented on the US President's statement.
