Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan — Chairman of the Family and Women's Committee Zulayho Bahriddinovna Mahkamova has been dismissed from her position. A government source told Darakchi.uz about this.
Zulayho Mahkamova was born on August 29, 1968, in Yangiqoʻrgʻon District, Namangan Region.
Throughout her career, she has held various leadership positions. In particular, she served as Chairman of the Namangan Regional Trade Union Organizations Association from 2011 to 2017, and as Deputy Governor of Namangan Region and Chairman of the Regional Women's Committee from 2017 to 2018.
Mahkamova, who had been working as First Deputy Chairman of the Women's Committee of Uzbekistan since April 24, 2018, was appointed as Governor of Toʻraqoʻrgʻon District on March 4, 2020. Thus, she became the fifth female governor in Uzbekistan's history.
Since March 1, 2022, she had been serving as Chairman of the newly reorganized Family and Women's Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as Deputy Prime Minister.
In her place, Dilnoza Sobirjonovna Kattakhanova has been appointed as Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan — Chairman of the Family and Women's Committee.
