Due to the sharp rise in air temperature in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the activities of certain state and non-state preschool educational organizations will be temporarily suspended. The Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Karakalpakstan reported this.
According to the information, in accordance with the decisions of city and district governors, kindergartens in the following areas will not operate during the specified periods:
Nukus city — from July 13 to July 18, 2026;
Amudarya district — from July 13 to July 15;
Beruni district — from July 13 to July 17;
Khojali district — from July 13 to July 18;
Tahiatosh district — from July 13 to July 17;
Shumanay district — from July 13 to July 17;
Mo'ynoq district — from July 13 to July 17;
Qonliko'l district — from July 13 to July 17;
To'rtko'l district — from July 13 to July 17.
It is noted that this decision was made in order to protect children's health from the effects of extremely hot weather and to ensure their safety. The procedure for temporarily suspending activities is implemented based on the relevant conclusions and recommendations of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Peace and Public Health departments.
Parents are also asked to pay special attention to their children's health, to prevent them from staying outdoors for long periods during the hottest times of the day, and to follow all necessary precautionary measures.
Let us remind you that "Uzhydromet" had reported that very hot air masses were expected to enter the territory of Uzbekistan from the south on July 13–17. According to the forecast, on the hottest days, the air temperature in most of the republic's territory may rise to 41–43 degrees, and in the northern, southern, and desert areas — to 44–46 degrees.
