In Uzbekistan, in half a year, 137 people died related to labor.

As a result of the incidents, a total of 494 citizens were affected. Of them, 337 were seriously injured, 20 sustained minor injuries, and 137 people died.

In January–June 2026, 447 work-related accidents occurred in Uzbekistan. This was reported by the State Labor Inspectorate.

It is noted that 21 of these incidents were group accidents, 311 had severe consequences, and 113 resulted in death.

As a result of the accidents, a total of 494 citizens were injured. Of these, 337 sustained severe injuries, 20 sustained minor injuries, and 137 died.

According to data, during 2025, the country recorded 849 work-related accidents. Of these, 216 resulted in death, 583 had severe consequences, and 50 were group accidents. That year, 961 citizens were injured and 248 died.

Thus, the number of accidents and fatalities in the first six months of 2026 exceeded half of the previous year's figures.

Additionally, a total of 10 billion 376 million soms were collected for one-time and monthly payments to those injured in work-related accidents and their family members.
