The Terminology Commission under the Cabinet of Ministers has approved 41 foreign terms with their official Uzbek equivalents, formed based on the rules and norms of the Uzbek language.
In particular, антракт — танаффус, банкет — зиёфат, брекет — тишсим, бренд — хосном, датчик — сезгич, дедлайн — сўнгмуддат, декорация — саҳнабезак, миксер — қорғич, палатка — чодир, раковина — чаноқ, распродажа — арзонсотув, суфлёр — шивирчи, фрилансер — эркин ишчи, эможи — ҳисбелги, хештег — калитсўз, хостел — қўноқуй have been designated.
It is noted that the new terms will be introduced into official usage in order to ensure uniform terminology in government agencies, official documents, and mass media.
The approved terms are stipulated to be used in official practice.
