During the first phase of the "Illegal-2026" operation conducted in Russia in June, over 60,000 violations in the field of migration were identified.

According to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of the inspections, 14,600 foreign citizens were administratively expelled from the country. Another 29,300 individuals were banned from entering Russia.

During the operation, measures were taken against 10,400 employers who illegally hired foreigners. Additionally, 2,000 criminal cases related to violations of migration legislation were initiated, and 301 individuals on the wanted list were identified.

It is noted that the raids were mainly conducted in areas where foreigners reside in large numbers, workplaces, public transport, and delivery services.

The "Illegal-2026" operation was organized by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Federal Security Service (FSB), and the Federal Financial Monitoring Service (Rosfinmonitoring) in cooperation to combat illegal migration and identify wanted individuals.

Let us recall that in June, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law sharply increasing state fees for migration services.
