A criminal case has been initiated against the deputy prosecutor of Urgut district of Samarkand region. This was reported by the State Security Service.
It is noted that during the operational measures conducted by the Samarkand regional department of the State Security Service in cooperation with the Personal Security Department of the General Prosecutor's Office and the regional prosecutor's office, the illegal actions of the official were exposed.
According to the investigation, while working at the Pastdargom district prosecutor's office, he received a bribe of 6,500 US dollars and 35 million soums through intermediaries in exchange for reducing the amount of damage caused to the state as a result of illegal use of natural gas by a local limited liability company from 2 billion 887 million soums to 805.9 million soums.
It is also reported that within the framework of the criminal case initiated by the prosecutor's office against the officials of this LLC under Article 169 of the Criminal Code, he demanded another 15,000 US dollars from the head of the enterprise, saying that he would help reduce the amount of damage to 150–200 million soums and ensure a lighter sentence in court.
Physical evidence regarding the official's illegal actions has been documented in procedural order.
A criminal case has been initiated against him, and a preventive measure of "detention" has been applied. Currently, preliminary investigation actions are ongoing.
