Uzbekistan won 4 medals at IPhO–2026

At the 56th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO 2026) held in Colombia, the Uzbekistan national team achieved a historic result.

The young physicists who defended the honor of the country won 2 silver and 2 bronze medals for the first time.

The silver medals went to Asilbek Jumanazarov (Specialized School for Exact Sciences under the National Research University "TIIAME") and Muhammad Abdumalikov (Mirzo Ulugbek Specialized School), while the bronze medals were awarded to Elbek Urokov (Specialized School for Exact Sciences under the National Research University "TIIAME") and Hasan Kamolov (Kokand City No. 1 Specialized School). Javokhir Aknazarov received an Honorable Mention.

Thus, the Uzbekistan national team recorded its best result in the history of the IPhO.

International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) is not only a competition for solving complex theoretical and experimental problems but also an opportunity for knowledge and experience exchange on an international scale.
