According to "Uzhydromet" data, in the coming days, air temperatures are expected to rise to 41–43 degrees in some areas, and to 44–46 degrees in the northern, southern, and desert regions of the country.
The Ministry notes that in such extreme heat, the body may experience overheating, dehydration, changes in blood pressure, increased strain on the cardiovascular system, and cases of heatstroke.
In particular, elderly people over 65, infants and young children, pregnant women, patients with cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, kidney and respiratory tract diseases, as well as citizens taking certain medications, are considered a high-risk group.
The Ministry of Health recommended that the population drink water frequently throughout the day without waiting for thirst, wear light and light-colored clothing, and limit exposure to direct sunlight between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
It was also noted that it is advisable to consume vegetables, fruits, light meals, and dairy products instead of heavy and fatty foods, and to schedule physical labor for the morning or evening cool hours.
The Ministry urged not to leave children, the elderly, and pets alone inside a car parked in the sun, even for a short time, because in such cases, the temperature inside the car can rise to life-threatening levels within minutes.
The Ministry of Health reminded that when the initial signs of heatstroke are observed, one should immediately move to a cool place, drink more fluids, and, if necessary, seek emergency medical assistance.
