Four people were injured when a pedestrian bridge over the sea collapsed in Russia's Primorsky Krai. Three of them are minors. Local officials reported this.

The incident occurred today, July 13, in the Tavayza area near the city of Artem. According to preliminary information, at the time of the incident, there were about 20–30 people, mostly children, on the bridge. The structure collapsed while some of them were jumping from the bridge into the sea.

Vacationers and rescuers at the scene managed to pull the injured from the water.

According to the administration of Artem, all of the injured have been hospitalized. Among them, two sustained minor injuries, and one sustained injuries of moderate severity. According to preliminary information, there were no fatalities as a result of the incident.

The prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into the incident. According to preliminary findings of the inquiry, this bridge was owned by a private company and access to it was prohibited because it was in a state of disrepair. However, the children broke through the installed barriers and climbed onto the bridge.
