President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during his visit to the city of Bekobod, inspected the landscaping and construction work carried out along the bank of the "Khos Yoz" canal and in the Dustlik neighborhood.

It is noted that the bank of the "Khos Yoz" canal, previously in an abandoned and disorderly state, has now been transformed into one of the city's modern recreational areas. Within the framework of the master plan developed for the comprehensive development of the area, a pedestrian path 3 kilometers long and protective barriers 5.4 kilometers long were built, and 2 bridges were also constructed.

As part of the project, 27 trade and service facilities were launched along the shore, creating 167 new permanent jobs.

The President also spoke with young people engaged in sports in this area.

It is reported that the Dustlik neighborhood covers an area of 28 hectares. It houses 33 multi-story residential buildings, a private preschool educational organization, a football field, 16 sports and children's playgrounds, and a library.

This year, entrepreneurs invested 1.1 billion soums, establishing 10 service facilities and one public catering outlet. This created another 25 new jobs.

Also, using funds from initiators, the "Vatanparvar Bogi" (Patriot Park) was established. There, samples of military equipment were installed and service facilities were organized.

Using funds from the "Initiative Budget", the Bekobod City Museum was established. In the neighborhood, a summer shed made of wooden structures was built, intended for holding meetings, roundtable discussions, and spiritual-educational events for veterans and labor veterans.

The head of state familiarized himself with the conditions created for residents in the neighborhood and talked with neighborhood activists and labor veterans.

"All our work, the facilities and projects we are building, must first serve the population and improve people's lives. People must feel the changes taking place in their neighborhood and city, and see their results in their daily lives.

Every time we come to the regions, people must feel the breath of New Uzbekistan's reforms, the breeze of its renewal and development. The city of Bekobod, with its hardworking residents, talented youth, and experienced veterans, should become an even more prosperous and developed place.

We will mobilize all opportunities to realize the aspirations of our youth and the good intentions and goals of our veterans," the President said.

According to the press service of the President, after the visit to the city of Bekobod concluded, the head of state returned to the city of Tashkent.
