President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Doha on July 14 to express condolences over the death of the former Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
At Hamad International Airport, the head of state was received by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Qatar, Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and other officials.
According to the press service of the President, a bilateral meeting between Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, is planned during the visit.
The meeting is expected to discuss the current state of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Qatar and issues related to its further development.
