Due to the abnormally hot weather observed in Uzbekistan, the speed of trains on the overground lines of the Tashkent metro will be temporarily limited. This was reported by the Tashkent Metro.
According to the report, starting from July 15, taking into account the possibility that the temperature of the railway rails may exceed the permitted 55 degrees, the speed of trains will be reduced from 60 km/h to 40 km/h every day until 18:00.
Therefore, the train intervals on overground lines will also partially change, and the arrival time of trains may increase up to 14 minutes.
According to the metro, these restrictions apply only to overground metro lines. On underground lines, trains will continue to operate as usual.
