In January-June 2026, 6 million 565 thousand 410 foreign citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes. The National Statistics Committee reported this.
According to the report, this figure increased by 1.3 million people or 24.9 percent compared to the same period last year.
According to the report, the largest number of tourists came to Uzbekistan from the Kyrgyz Republic, with their number amounting to 1 million 875 thousand 332. Next in line were Kazakhstan — 1 million 553 thousand 688, Tajikistan — 1 million 471 thousand 670, and Russia — 585 thousand 558.
Also, 238 thousand 925 tourists from Afghanistan, 223 thousand 479 from China, 164 thousand 211 from Turkmenistan, 95 thousand 466 from Turkey, 26 thousand 450 from India, and 22 thousand 294 from Germany visited Uzbekistan.
