Independent research is a form of postgraduate education that allows one to engage in scientific activities without leaving production and to obtain the academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Science (DSc).
Applicants for the PhD academic degree must have a master's diploma, have published at least one scientific article and at least two scientific theses in the relevant field, and successfully pass an interview.
Those submitting documents for the DSc academic degree are required to have a PhD or an equivalent academic degree, have published at least three scientific articles after obtaining the degree and at least two scientific theses in the relevant field, pass an interview, and present a detailed project plan of the doctoral dissertation.
The admission process is carried out through digital platforms. Some documents of applicants are automatically generated through the my.gov.uz system. The remaining required documents are uploaded in electronic form to the daraja.ilmiy.uz platform.
Specialists recommend that researchers planning to continue their scientific activities submit documents within the established deadlines and familiarize themselves in detail with the admission requirements in advance.
