In the city of Samarkand, a person who broke into one of the banks and threatened employees was detained. The Security Department reported this.

According to reports, the incident occurred on July 13 at one of the bank branches in Samarkand city. A person wearing winter clothes, a mask on his face, and carrying a black bag entered the bank and said he had an explosive device. He then threatened employees, broke the bank windows, and demanded money.

Upon receiving the alarm, Security Department officers arrived at the scene. They maintained a safe distance and negotiated with the suspect. After conversations, the person voluntarily surrendered and was detained.

It is noted that no civilians were harmed as a result of the incident.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 164, Part 4 (robbery) of the Criminal Code regarding this incident. Investigative actions are ongoing.
