The State Labor Inspection has sent an instruction to all administrations in Uzbekistan on ensuring safe working conditions for employees working in abnormally hot weather conditions.

According to the inspection, in order to protect the life and health of landscaping workers working outdoors, it is recommended to temporarily suspend work that may pose a risk due to high temperatures during the period from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and to introduce a flexible work schedule.

It is also noted that employers must provide workers with a sufficient amount of quality drinking water and organize rest areas protected from sunlight and high temperatures.

The instruction emphasizes the need not to engage individuals who have not undergone a mandatory medical examination or have been found unfit for work according to a doctor's conclusion, to provide workers with personal protective equipment, and to review the work and rest schedule.

The inspection also reminded that immediate first aid must be provided to workers whose condition deteriorates due to heat exposure.

It is noted that compliance with these instructions will be monitored by the State Labor Inspection. Liability measures in accordance with the procedure established by law will be applied to officials who violate labor protection requirements.
