For the 2026/2027 academic year, state scholarship quotas for students of higher education institutions in Uzbekistan have been approved. This was reported in a letter from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation dated July 15, 2026.
According to the document, out of 335,471 senior students in the republic, 776 will receive state scholarships.
The scholarships are distributed as follows:
Presidential Scholarship — 187;
Islam Karimov Scholarship — 194;
Navoi Scholarship — 175;
Bobur Scholarship — 51;
Imam al-Bukhari Scholarship — 44;
Beruni Scholarship — 38;
Ibn Sina Scholarship — 33;
Abdulla Avloni Scholarship — 16;
Ulugbek Scholarship — 13;
Tulepbergen Kaipbergenov Scholarship — 11;
Ibroim Yusupov Scholarship — 11;
Pahlavon Mahmud Scholarship — 3.
The allocated quotas are distributed across higher education institutions and fields of study.
The largest scholarship quota is allocated to Karakalpak State University — 14. Tashkent State Medical University, Urgench State University, and Fergana State University have been given 11 quotas each.
National University of Uzbekistan, Tashkent State University of Economics, and Tashkent International University of Chemistry have been allocated 9 state scholarship quotas each.
According to the document, Presidential and Islam Karimov scholarships are allocated across all fields of study.
The Navoi Scholarship is intended for students in humanities, the Beruni Scholarship for technical fields, the Ibn Sina Scholarship for medicine, the Bobur Scholarship for history and geography, the Abdulla Avloni Scholarship for pedagogy, and the Ulugbek Scholarship for natural sciences.
The Imam al-Bukhari Scholarship is awarded to students of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, while the Tulepbergen Kaipbergenov and Ibroim Yusupov scholarships are given to students of higher education institutions in Karakalpakstan.
