In the Pop district of Namangan region, a court verdict was announced in a criminal case against the founder of the "Rayhon Family National Dishes" restaurant and six other individuals. This was reported by the press secretary of the Supreme Court, Aziz Abidov.
The criminal case was considered in the Pop District Court on Criminal Cases against O.I., born in 1977, previously not convicted, and six other defendants.
According to the court verdict, all seven defendants were found guilty of committing crimes under Article 167 (theft by misappropriation or embezzlement), Article 209 (official forgery), Article 227 (illegal possession or concealment of documents and other official signs), and Article 228 (forgery of documents and their use) of the Criminal Code.
By court decision, O.I. was sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment. In accordance with Article 62 of the Criminal Code, the time spent in custody was counted towards the sentence, and the final sentence was set at 7 years, 11 months, and 28 days.
The remaining six defendants were also sentenced to various terms of imprisonment based on the severity of the crimes they committed and the degree of their involvement in the crimes.
Additionally, it was ordered to recover the material damage caused within the criminal case from the defendants jointly and severally. It was noted that the verdict of the first instance court may be appealed or protested to the appellate or cassation instance of the Namangan Regional Court within the procedure and deadlines established by law.
