Fake prosecutor caught

The General Prosecutor's Office urged citizens not to trust persons who introduce themselves as employees of state bodies and demand money for services.

A person who introduced himself as a prosecutor’s office employee and carried a fake certificate was detained in the Kibray district of Tashkent region. This was reported by the General Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the report, K.Kh., born in 2007, was driving a Cobalt car with the state license plate 10 W 284 LB belonging to his mother and introduced himself as an employee of the Kibray district prosecutor’s office.

He was stopped by traffic safety officers on July 12, 2026, during a raid conducted in the area of the “Gafur Gulom” mahalla citizens’ assembly in Kibray district.

To avoid legal measures, K.Kh. introduced himself as a prosecutor’s office employee and showed a fake certificate. An administrative report was drawn up against him, and the car was placed in a fine parking lot.

During an inspection of the car, a state license plate “25 C 836 AA” was found under its seat. An operational-investigative group was called to the scene, and the certificate and a pair of state license plates were seized from K.Kh.

On July 13, a criminal case was initiated under Article 228, Part 2, Item “b” and Article 228, Part 3 of the Criminal Code. Investigative actions are currently underway.

The General Prosecutor’s Office urged citizens not to trust individuals who introduce themselves as government employees and demand money for services.
