Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan assessed British King Charles III's visit to the Cambridge Central Mosque as "very significant."
Erdogan noted that the visit is significant because it took place at a time when Islamophobia and cultural racism are increasing in the world.
"We see that our mosque, which has become a symbol of solidarity against discrimination and respect against hatred, is successfully fulfilling its duty," said the Turkish President.
He noted that King Charles III places great importance on the issue of peaceful coexistence among people of different cultures, backgrounds, and beliefs.
Furthermore, Erdogan sent greetings to the people of the United Kingdom, particularly to Muslims and representatives of the Turkish diaspora living in the country, and invited King Charles III to visit Turkey.
The Cambridge Central Mosque was opened in 2019 with the participation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The complex is considered one of the first eco-friendly mosques in Europe.
