Since the beginning of the year, tax revenues have increased by 27 percent and exceeded 130 trillion soums. However, the annual plan for additional revenues has been fulfilled by only 40 percent. This amounts to 12 trillion soums.
It was noted that the first deputy governors of the regions are not working sufficiently with enterprises to increase tax revenues.
In the case of the Bukhara region, it was stated that 162 enterprises with a turnover exceeding 100 million soums have ended their activities at a loss for three consecutive years and have not paid a single soum in profit tax.
Furthermore, it was noted that 1,500 enterprises have not been paying value-added tax, only accounting for VAT.
For this reason, the first deputy governor of the Bukhara region was dismissed from his position.
It was stated that from July 1, the authority to collect taxes from 498 large taxpaying enterprises has been transferred to the regions. It was emphasized that now there is no room for any excuses in this regard.
The first deputy governors of the regions and heads of regional tax departments have been tasked with working closely with these enterprises and ensuring full tax collection.
