The governor of Quva district, Fergana region, Kh. Umarov, was held disciplinarily responsible for insulting a farmer. He was given a reprimand.
According to reports, a video circulated on social media showing the governor's actions during a meeting with farmers, which contradicted the code of conduct for civil servants. It caused widespread discussion among the public.
Subsequently, the Anti-Corruption Agency, within its authority, submitted a presentation to the Fergana regional administration to conduct an official investigation into the situation and provide a legal assessment.
Based on the results of the presentation, a disciplinary reprimand was applied to the governor of Quva district, Kh. Umarov.
"The Agency will continue its work to ensure strict compliance with the code of conduct for civil servants, establish high professional and ethical standards in public service, and guarantee the inevitability of liability for violations of the law," the report said.
