In the city of Samarkand, a Road Patrol Service officer hit a pedestrian crossing the road with a service vehicle. As a result, a woman born in 1951 died.
According to available information, the incident occurred on July 21 at approximately 18:15 on Shabbod Street in the city of Samarkand.
Footage from surveillance cameras shows a Road Patrol Service officer driving a patrol vehicle of the "Tracker" model assigned to him, hitting a woman named S.A. as she was crossing the road.
According to the State Traffic Safety Department of the Internal Affairs Department of Samarkand region, the pedestrian was crossing the road at an undesignated location.
As a result of the injuries sustained, the woman died at the scene.
Regarding the incident, pre-investigation review actions are being carried out by the Samarkand city prosecutor's office.
