In Tashkent, three Ukrainian citizens involved in drug trafficking were detained

Based on the situation, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 273, Part 6, paragraph "a" of the Criminal Code, and a preventive measure of detention has been applied to the suspects.

Ukrainian citizens engaged in drug trafficking have been detained in Tashkent. This was reported by the State Security Service.

According to the report, within the framework of the "Safe and Healthy Country" operational-preventive measures, an operational event was conducted in cooperation between the Tashkent City Department of the State Security Service and the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the capital.

During the event, on June 12, 2026, two residences in the Yashnobod district where three Ukrainian citizens, born in 1994, 1997, and 2001, who arrived in Uzbekistan on that date, were temporarily staying were inspected in the presence of witnesses.

During the inspections, narcotic substances were discovered that had been divided into small portions and prepared for distribution using the "stash" method at various locations in the capital.

According to the results of the examination, the confiscated substances were identified as hashish, mephedrone, and alpha-PVP. Their total weight amounted to 1 kilogram 945 grams.

Additionally, 460 grams of mephedrone and alpha-PVP, left in a hidden location by the organizers of an online drug shop for these foreign citizens to later repackage and distribute within the capital, were also seized as material evidence.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 273, Part 6, Clause "a" of the Criminal Code in connection with the incident, and a measure of pretrial restraint in the form of detention has been applied to the suspects.

Currently, investigative actions are being carried out.
