A person who promised to send a citizen to Umrah pilgrimage and demanded $1,500 from them was arrested in the city of Bukhara. This was reported by the Bukhara Regional Internal Affairs Department.
According to the information, a person born in 2004, who worked as an operator at a branch of a limited liability company registered in the Kashkadarya region, located in the city of Bukhara, aimed to gain the trust of citizens planning to go on Umrah pilgrimage and take money from them.
Without having the relevant authority, he told a woman living in the city of Bukhara that he would organize a seven-day Umrah trip for her and demanded $1,500 in return.
During the operational measure, the suspect was caught red-handed while receiving pre-marked $1,500 and 850,000 soums in cash at his office, along with physical evidence.
