Drug-related incidents have been identified in the Khorezm and Namangan regions within the framework of the "Safe and Healthy Country" rapid preventive measures. This was reported by the State Security Service.
During an operational event conducted jointly by employees of the State Security Service, the Internal Affairs bodies, and the Customs authorities in the Urganch district of the Khorezm region, a previously convicted person was stopped at the moment of receiving a parcel sent from the Russian Federation via taxi.
During the inspection, it was established that the parcel contained "hashish" narcotic substance with a total weight of 967 grams, hidden inside 10 chocolate packages. The physical evidence has been documented in accordance with the established procedure.
Also, during an operational event conducted jointly by employees of the State Security Service's department for the Namangan region and the Internal Affairs bodies, a resident of the Yangikurgan district was found to be cultivating 423 cannabis plants on his land for the purpose of future sale.
Criminal cases have been initiated against both individuals regarding these incidents, and investigative actions are underway.
