The Japan Immigration Service has deported two citizens of Uzbekistan who were living illegally in the country. This was reported by the Embassy of Japan in Uzbekistan.
According to the information, one of the citizens entered Japan on a "technical intern" visa. Despite the visa's expiration, he did not leave the country and was later apprehended by law enforcement authorities.
The second citizen went to Japan on a short-term visa. He also stayed in the country illegally after the permitted period ended and was subsequently detained.
The Embassy of Japan in Uzbekistan reminded that strict measures are taken against individuals who reside illegally or engage in illegal work activities in the country.
According to this, violators may be arrested by the police, placed in an immigration center, and subsequently deported.
Furthermore, the Japanese government also provides information about lawbreakers to the Uzbek side. It was emphasized that, therefore, appropriate measures may be taken against the citizens upon their return to the homeland.
