An armed clash occurred between the Taliban forces and the Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF) in the Zebak district of Badakhshan province in northeastern Afghanistan. Zamon.uz reported, citing foreign sources.
According to local sources, the fighting began on Thursday evening and lasted for several hours. The head of the political committee of the Freedom Front, Davud Naji, called the clash a “decisive battle”.
The Taliban's 219th Omar-e-Salis division also confirmed that a clash occurred. According to their report, border troops eliminated five attackers. It was also said that the attackers had entered from the Chitral region of Pakistan.

Analysts explain the increase in armed resistance in Badakhshan with factors such as dissatisfaction with Taliban rule, ethnic representation, governance problems, and issues related to natural resources.
