An official who demanded 14 million soum for a signature was caught while taking a bribe.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding the situation against the suspect and other persons under Article 210, Part 2, clauses "v" and "g" of the Criminal Code.

An official demanding a bribe of 14 million soums in exchange for signing and stamping reports on food products supplied to state preschool educational organizations in the Surkhandarya region has been detained. This was reported by the regional Internal Affairs Department.

According to the information, a complaint received by the Surkhandarya Regional Internal Affairs Department stated that certain individuals were illegally demanding money in exchange for signing and stamping reports confirming the acceptance of food products supplied under contract to state kindergartens.

The operational measure was conducted on July 20. It was determined that a person born in 1987 in the Jarkurgan district, using his official position, demanded a bribe in exchange for signing and stamping reports confirming the full acceptance of food products that were to be supplied by the LLC "Toshmurad Oydin" to the state preschool educational organization he manages, as well as to another state kindergarten.

The official demanded 7 million soums for each kindergarten, a total of 14 million soums. He was caught red-handed with material evidence during the operational measure while receiving this money.
