In the city of Samarkand, three individuals beat a 35-year-old man and inflicted bodily harm on him. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. This was reported by the press service of the Samarkand Regional Internal Affairs Department.
According to reports, on July 23 at around 20:10, 35-year-old J.G., a resident of Samarkand city, got into an argument with his 52-year-old neighbor U.A.
U.A.'s 27-year-old son and his two acquaintances also became involved in the altercation. They struck and kicked J.G. on various parts of his body, inflicting bodily harm on him.
A video capturing this incident was circulated on social media.
On the same day, pre-investigation verification actions were initiated regarding the incident. Subsequently, a criminal case was opened by the Investigation Department under the Samarkand City Internal Affairs Directorate's FMU under Article 277, Part 2, Clause "b" (hooliganism by a group of individuals) of the Criminal Code.
Currently, preliminary investigative actions are being carried out.
According to legislation, individuals who commit this act may be punished with 300 to 360 hours of compulsory community service, or restriction of liberty for 1 to 3 years, or imprisonment for up to 3 years.
