China has deployed at least 11 J-20 fifth-generation stealth fighter aircraft to two high-altitude airbases in areas bordering India.
According to reports, seven of them have been deployed to Hotan Air Base in the Xinjiang-Uygur Autonomous Region, and the remaining four to Damxung Air Base in the Tibet Autonomous Region. It is noted that this is the largest group of J-20 fighters China has deployed to a single airbase in the direction of India.
Currently, the Indian Air Force does not possess fifth-generation fighter aircraft. The country's military aviation primarily relies on 36 French-made Rafale aircraft and aging Su-30MKI fighters.
