Abdurrazzoq El Kansuli, a citizen of Morocco, raised the State Flag of Uzbekistan to the highest point of the Atlas Mountain range in Morocco — the Toubkal peak — as a symbol of respect and sincere reverence for our country on the eve of the 35th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Located at an altitude of nearly 4167 meters above sea level, the Toubkal peak is considered the highest mountain point in Morocco and North Africa.
Commenting on this initiative, Abdurrazzoq El Kansuli emphasized that it is "a sincere expression of his deep affection for dear Uzbekistan and its people."
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kingdom of Morocco were established on October 11, 1993. Over the past years, political dialogue, cooperation within international organizations, as well as trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian ties between the two countries have been consistently developing.
