A case of theft that had been ongoing since 2022 at a major textile enterprise in the city of Jizzakh has been uncovered. It was determined that the crime was committed by a person who worked as a security guard at the enterprise. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the report, the head of the enterprise's supply department contacted the 112 unified dispatch service of the internal affairs bodies, reporting that 91 electric generators and sewing machines had been stolen from the enterprise's premises since 2022.
According to preliminary information, the suspects entered the building by breaking through a wall in order to steal copper cables.
Based on the appeal, extensive measures were carried out by the rapid search service staff of the Jizzakh Regional Internal Affairs Directorate. Individuals who had worked as security guards at the enterprise at various times were checked, and video surveillance recordings as well as other operational information were analyzed.
As a result of the analysis, it was established that vehicles with license plates from the Syrdarya region entered the enterprise premises in the evening on certain days and left towards morning.
These incidents coincided with the days when a security guard residing in the Boyovut district of Syrdarya region was on duty. During operational measures, it became known that the security guard had called his neighbor to the enterprise while he was on duty and had taken the electric generators and sewing machines out.
It was also established that two other neighbors participated in transporting these properties.
During the investigations, it was found that the stolen electric generators, sewing machines, and copper cables were sold to a person engaged in scrap metal collection, residing in the Bekobod district of Tashkent region.
As a result of operational measures, 4 electric generators and 7 sewing machines were seized from him as material evidence.
Currently, pre-investigation checks and operational measures are ongoing by staff of the Jizzakh regional and city Internal Affairs Directorates to determine the involvement of these individuals in other crimes.
