Based on the results of the Central Bank Board meeting held on July 29, the key interest rate was maintained at 14 percent.
According to the regulator, in June 2026, the annual headline inflation rate stood at 6.4 percent. Core inflation remained unchanged at 5.7 percent.
Additionally, the Central Bank forecasts headline inflation to be around 6.5 percent by the end of the year. The economic growth forecast remains at 7.5–8 percent.
It was noted that in June, a short-term increase in inflation rates was observed due to the rise in prices of energy resources and coal.
The Central Bank's monetary policy will continue, aiming to reduce inflation to the 5 percent target, ensure macroeconomic stability, and maintain the population's purchasing power.
The next meeting to review the key interest rate is scheduled for September 16, 2026.
We recall that the Central Bank had also left the key interest rate unchanged at 14 percent on June 17.
