In Tashkent city, 21.48 billion soums will be allocated from additional sources of the local budget for the improvement of central streets, squares, and green areas. This was established by a decision of the Tashkent City Council of People's Deputies.
According to the decision, 11.95 billion soums of the funds will be directed toward purchasing seasonal flowers and ornamental shrubs to be planted on central and most important streets.
Additionally, 2.15 billion soums will be allocated to the Department for Greening Central Squares, and 900 million soums to the department engaged in landscaping the territories of state facilities.
It has been determined that another 3.8 billion soums will be directed to support the activities of the Department for Improvement and Greening of Important Streets. These funds will be financed from the overfulfilled portion of the local budget revenue plan based on the results of the second quarter.
Furthermore, part of the allocated funds will be directed to the social sphere. In particular, 248 million soums will be allocated for purchasing equipment for the Tashkent College of Tourism and Hotel Management, and 40.4 million soums for strengthening the material and technical base of the Tashkent city branch of the Public Foundation under the Oliy Majlis.
At the same time, 2.39 billion soums will be spent on capital repairs of the building of the "Bilim" Information and Library Center and its interior rooms.
