It has been reported that on the morning of July 22, a call was received on the short number "112" about a family quarrel in one of the residences in the Vobkent district.
It was determined that the cause of the conflict between the husband and wife was that the woman had left the house, while their two minor children remained inside the residence with their father, who was heavily intoxicated.
The prevention inspector who arrived at the scene climbed over the wall and entered the courtyard because the door was locked from the inside. He first removed the children to a safe place.
After that, the inspector tried to calm the man. However, the man picked up a kitchen knife, held it to his throat, and threatened to commit suicide.
Despite the escalation of the situation, the prevention inspector continued the conversation and managed to distract the man using psychological methods. Seizing the opportune moment, he removed the knife from the man's hand and neutralized the citizen.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of the prompt actions of the prevention inspector, the lives of two children were saved, and a situation that could have led to severe consequences was prevented.
