35 markets, shopping complexes, and their branches in Tashkent city will be put up for public auction. This is stipulated in the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan "On additional measures for the socio-economic development of Tashkent city in 2026–2027."
According to the document, the joint-stock company "Tashkent Invest Company" will participate as the customer in the public auctions. The company will develop a ready-made business project for each facility and put them up for auction on that basis.
Furthermore, 1 percent of the funds received from the sale of the markets, as well as the costs associated with putting them up for auction, will be directed to this company.
In accordance with the resolution, it is mandated that modern eco-markets, trade and service complexes, entertainment centers, and multi-story parking lots be built in place of the markets and shopping complexes.
Among the facilities put up for public auction are the "Chorsu" farmers' market, the "Orikzor" shopping complex, the "Quyliq" farmers' market, the "Sergeli" farmers' market, the "Yangiobod" specialized market, the "Parkent" universal shopping complex, the "Chilonzor" commodity shopping complex, the "Qoraqamish," "Aviasozlar," "Farhod," and "Navruz" farmers' markets, as well as a number of their branches.
Additionally, the document provides for other farmers' markets, specialized and commodity markets, their branches, and vacant areas in Tashkent city to be put up for electronic online auction at an appraised value based on master plans to be approved and conditions to be determined.
