In his congratulatory message, the head of state emphasized that the peace and tranquility, interethnic harmony, religious tolerance, and solidarity established in Uzbekistan are among the greatest treasures of the people.
"Today, over 130 nations and ethnicities, representatives of 16 religious confessions, live in our country as members of one family, in harmony and unity, making a worthy contribution to the development of our nation," said the President.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that in recent years, a unique model of interethnic harmony and tolerance has formed in Uzbekistan based on the idea "Our strength lies in unity and solidarity."
According to him, 157 national cultural centers and 46 friendship societies are currently operating in the country. Their material and technical base has been strengthened, and necessary conditions have been created for holding various holidays, festivals, and educational events.
The President announced that educational processes in Uzbekistan are conducted in seven languages, television and radio channels broadcast programs in 12 languages, and newspapers and magazines are published in 14 languages.
Furthermore, the head of state particularly noted the contribution of deputies, senators, state and public figures, representatives of science, culture, arts, sports, and business, who come from various nationalities, to the country's development.
The congratulatory message also touched upon the friendly and cooperative ties between the Central Asian states. The President emphasized that further strengthening strategic partnership and alliance relations with neighboring countries will remain one of the priority directions of Uzbekistan's foreign policy.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that art and culture are an important means of bringing peoples closer, and announced plans to establish a professional "Dustlik" (Friendship) ensemble composed of representatives of various nationalities in the country.
"The friendship of peoples is a sacred human value, a guarantee of a peaceful, free, and prosperous life," emphasized the President.
The head of state congratulated all compatriots on the Day of Friendship of Peoples, wishing them good health, family happiness, and great success in their work for the prosperity of the country.
