In one of the apartments in Namangan city, medicines worth 1.4 billion soums that lacked appropriate quality certificates were found in a hidden warehouse. The State Security Service reported this.
It is noted that in order to ensure the safety of public health, an operational measure was conducted in cooperation with the State Security Service, the Customs Committee, and employees of Internal Affairs bodies.
During the event, the residence of a person born in 2003 living in Namangan city was inspected. During the inspection, from the hidden warehouse in the apartment, medicines produced abroad but without appropriate quality certificates, totaling 28 types and 28,928 units under the names "Ortofen", "Neurox", "Tyrozol", "Siofor" and others, were found and officially seized in procedural order.
It was reported that the approximate value of these medicines, illegally brought into the country's territory, amounts to 1.4 billion soums.
Currently, an examination has been appointed regarding these medicines, and inquiry proceedings are being conducted regarding the situation.
The State Security Service asked citizens to report by calling the agency's short number 1520 when encountering similar law violations. It is noted that the identity of applicants is guaranteed to be kept confidential.
