The Japan Immigration Services Agency deported two Uzbek citizens who were staying illegally in the country. This was reported by the Japanese Embassy in Uzbekistan announced.
According to the report, both citizens went to Japan with a short-term visa. However, they did not leave the country even after the visa expired. Later, they were detained by law enforcement authorities and deported.
According to the embassy, if illegal stay or unauthorized work activity is detected in Japan, violators are detained, placed in an immigration center, and deported from the country.
Additionally, the Japanese side may provide information about violators to the relevant authorities of Uzbekistan. Therefore, citizens were advised not to trust unfounded offers such as "it is easy to work in Japan."
The embassy also noted that the idea that applying for refugee status in Japan allows one to stay or work in the country for a long time does not correspond to reality.
If the application is rejected, the person may be placed in an immigration center or deported. It was also emphasized that providing false information or attempting to circumvent the law to obtain refugee status may lead to serious legal consequences.
