According to the National Statistics Committee, in January–June 2026, a total of 75.3 thousand tons of fish were raised and caught by all categories of farms in the republic.
In the regional breakdown, the highest indicator was recorded in Khorezm region. There, 12.6 thousand tons of fish were caught over the six months.
The next places were taken by Namangan region — 8.4 thousand tons, Tashkent region — 7.5 thousand tons, and Andijan region — 7.1 thousand tons.
Also, the indicators by region are as follows:
— Sirdaryo region — 6.5 thousand tons;
— Jizzakh region — 6.0 thousand tons;
— Fergana region — 5.8 thousand tons;
— Republic of Karakalpakstan — 5.4 thousand tons;
— Navoi region — 5.2 thousand tons;
— Samarkand region — 4.1 thousand tons;
— Bukhara region — 2.9 thousand tons;
— Surkhandarya region — 2.4 thousand tons;
— Kashkadarya region — 1.5 thousand tons.
According to statistical data, the growth in the fisheries sector indicates that attention to this direction and production volumes are increasing in the republic.
