A preventive measure was applied to a person suspected of committing a crime against the sexual integrity of a minor in the Orta Chirchik district of Tashkent region.
The Children's Ombudsman reported this.
It was noted that an appeal was received by the secretariat of the Children's Ombudsman from citizen O.S., a resident of Orta Chirchik district. In it, it was stated that citizen M.A. had committed criminal acts against the sexual integrity of O.S.'s minor child K.M., and practical assistance was requested in taking legal measures regarding the situation.
On the basis of this appeal, the situation was studied by the prosecutor's office bodies. During the investigation, a previously adopted decision to refuse to initiate a criminal case was overturned, and additional pre-investigation checks were carried out.
As a result, citizen M.A. was charged under Part 3 of Article 129 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and a preventive measure in the form of "detention" was applied to him.
Currently, preliminary investigation actions are being carried out on this criminal case.
The Children's Ombudsman announced that it will continue monitoring this situation in order to restore the child's violated rights and protect his legitimate interests.
