It was reported that on July 27, a videoselector meeting was held under the chairmanship of the head of state, during which pressing issues in the fuel and energy sector were discussed. The meeting critically analyzed issues of ensuring the stability of electricity and gas supply, reducing accidents, preventing energy losses, and improving the management system in the sector.
Within the framework of the tasks set at the meeting, work is being carried out to organize electricity and gas supply on a district-by-district and neighborhood-by-neighborhood basis, form the energy consumption balance of regions, conduct an inventory of networks and equipment, prepare for the autumn-winter season, and use digital technologies and artificial intelligence in the sector.
The presentation reviewed the plans of the Ministry of Energy, the joint-stock company "Regional Electric Networks," and the leadership of Uzenergoinspektsiya for the implementation of the assigned tasks.
In particular, a special headquarters has started working in the Yangiyol district to improve electricity and gas supply. Open dialogues with the population and entrepreneurs are being held there, and issues related to power outages, lack of capacity, gas pressure drops, obtaining technical conditions, and indebtedness are being studied.
It was noted that on the basis of the experience of the Yangiyol district, it is planned to introduce such a system in another 13 districts and later apply it to other regions as well.
In addition, measures are being strengthened to ensure the legality and transparency of the processes of issuing technical conditions for connecting entrepreneurs to electricity and gas networks, and to prevent corrupt practices.
Within the framework of preparation for the autumn-winter season, work is being carried out to renew problematic networks and equipment, reduce energy losses, and eliminate the causes of emergency outages.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev assigned a number of tasks to the responsible officials on forming a unified and effective management system in the energy sector, and ensuring stable supply of electricity and gas to the population and sectors of the economy.
