In the first half of 2026, Uzbekistan imported 72,000 tons of beef from abroad. This was reported by the National Statistics Committee.
It was noted that in January-June, Uzbekistan imported beef worth 359.5 million US dollars. This figure is 6,000 tons, or 9.1 percent, more than in the corresponding period of the previous year.
India led the list of countries that supplied the most beef to the country.
In January-June 2026, to Uzbekistan:
— from India — 33,900 tons;
— from Belarus — 19,600 tons;
— from Kazakhstan — 10,600 tons;
— from Pakistan — 4,000 tons;
— from other countries — 4,000 tons of beef were imported.
Thus, during the reporting period, the largest share of beef imports brought into the Uzbek market came from India.
