In Kazakhstan, the "flying taxi" intended for passenger transportation has carried out its first demonstration flight.

According to the Ministry of Transport of the country, an unmanned aerial vehicle of the EH216-S model was tested in flight with a passenger on board in the city of Astana.

The electric air transport, designed for two people, can move at a speed of 130 kilometers per hour. The device has the capability to cover a distance of up to 35 kilometers.

Initially, it is planned to use this technology for tourist and demonstration flights lasting 5–30 minutes.

In the future, it is intended to use "flying taxis" for providing emergency medical care, delivering medicines, eliminating fires, and in the field of logistics.
