In Uzbekistan, a new law regulating realtor activity has been adopted. The law "On Realtor Activity" was signed on August 7.
According to the document, the State Assets Management Agency has been designated as the authorized state body in the realtor sphere.
To become a realtor, an applicant must complete a special training course, pass a qualification exam, and obtain a certificate. Realtor organizations and real estate agents will have the right to operate only after being included in the Unified Register.
The law also defines the main types of realtor services. These include intermediation in real estate transactions, organization of auctions, trust management, as well as information, consulting, and advertising services.
In addition, the introduction of a multi-listing system by the private sector is envisaged. It will create opportunities for providing realtor services on the "single window" principle and exchanging information electronically.
