The Japan Immigration Services Agency deported a citizen of Uzbekistan who was staying illegally in the country. He entered Japan on a student visa, but remained in the country after the visa expired and was later detained by the authorities.

The Embassy of Japan in Uzbekistan reminded that strict measures such as arrest, placement in an immigration center, and deportation will be taken in cases of illegal stay or work.
It was also emphasized that the Japanese side would provide information about violators to the government of Uzbekistan, and appropriate measures could be taken against them after returning to their country.
