According to reports, two citizens appealed to law enforcement agencies, stating that a person who introduced himself as "Izzat" and his associates had collected large sums of money from them through intimidation and pressure.
One of the applicants said that in 2019 he began cooperating with a person named "Izzat". Later, the suspect demanded more money from him and threatened to kill him. This situation lasted 2–3 years.
Another applicant reported that the suspect took money from him at various times, including 3–4 thousand and 5 thousand dollars. According to him, he was also pressured after a dispute related to furniture making.
"In total, he took 70 thousand US dollars from me through pressure and use of force. If I said I wouldn't give, he would hit me," said one of the applicants.
The first applicant said he was forced to pay $30,000 for a BMW X5 car and $15,000 for kitchen furniture. It is reported that a total of $70,000 was taken from him.
The second applicant stated that he was forced into a business partnership, was introduced to a representative of the criminal underworld in Turkey, and violence was used against him. He said he was forced through intimidation to buy a car and give $38,000.
During the pre-investigation check, another woman also appealed to law enforcement agencies. She stated that the suspect, threatening to distribute her personal photos, forced her to meet and have sexual relations.
"He threatened to distribute those personal photos. Then he said, 'I will post them on Instagram and shame you.' When we met, he also used violence and pressure," the woman said.
During operational measures, the identity of the suspect was established. According to investigation data, he is a person named Isoq, born in 1988, known by the nickname "Izzat Nazarbek".
He was detained in one of the gyms in the Uchtepa district.
During a search conducted after the arrest, two Baikal pistols belonging to the suspect, corresponding ammunition, knives, and a pistol holster were found and seized in accordance with procedural requirements.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated on this matter under Article 165, Part 3, Item "a" and Article 121, Part 4, Item "v" of the Criminal Code.
A preventive measure in the form of detention has been applied to the suspect. Investigative actions are ongoing.
